What's on the Hotplate?!

So, I’m sitting here at my laptop eating a delicious burrito and trying to figure out what to write about. It’s my first entry so I need t make it funny, energetic, inquisitive and ironic at the same time right?

Well my first thought at that are three words: Keep It Real

And that is exactly how I’m gonna keep it. I’ll cal it the hotplate. What is hot on my tongue, what’s on my mind, what I think is hot.

I’m gonna make sure that I stay neutral on certain subjects unless I just gotta throw it on the hotplate, then I will serve you some Barbie Q. Other than that, like Michael Jackson says in THIS IS IT, “let it simmer”. I love that quote.

Listening to “Rain on my Parade”, not the Glee version (although that was amazing by Lea Michele), but by Barbra Streisand herself from FUNNY GIRL (see it for inspiration).

And I guess that is what my first entry will be about, inspiration.

I am inspired by people all the time. I used to think it was jealousy, but I want them to succeed. I thought it was envy, but I see us rising together, no one left behind. I look at the artists around me in downtown LA and even beyond that thanks to FaceBook and MySpace and I am in awe.

People are not only being inspired but encouraging others to create and be who they are. In a recession, in a crisis, we tend to still see the good in people. I know I do. I love to tell people I am in their corner, because so many have been in mine.
So that is on my hotplate right now: be inspired.

Now I gotta go take a nap. I gotta gig at Here Lounge then shooting a video tomorrow morning . Can you say Gaga?
