Hello my loves. I hope your LA Pride was as amazing as mine! (remember San Francisco & New York Pride is June 25-26) I marched and smiled all day. So good to see the people enjoying themselves and being who they are. Being full of the pride that I hope leaves with them when they go home. There comes a time when you have to stand up for yourself. No matter what your friends tell you or what the outcome is.There comes a time when standing up for yourself or others is just the right thing to do. It is choosing your battles wisely my love. For example, say you see a wig at Miss Ellen's and you want her to go down on the price (now we know she does that like never), but you want to haggle. So, knowing that you will be going to her again and again, do you cause a scene? Or go with it and buy the dam thing? Remember to chose that battle because you may have to return to that battlefield again and again. That is key in the drag scene as well. There are so many shows around and you may wonder why you are not being asked in them all? Well my loves, it is up to you to figure out where your niche is and take the time to reach out and expand as a performer. If some places won't give you that chance, you move on then to bigger and better opportunities that await you my love. And trust me, if you are worth your salt, you will be performing for a long time to come.
